ROXAS CITY – The Roxas City Schools Division motored the major thoroughfares here, September 5, joining the rest of the world in celebrating the World Teacher’s Day.
In line with the World’s Teachers Day Celebration, the city division headed by Superintendent Mac Aposin conducted various activities to honor Filipino teachers nationwide.
ACT Teachers Partylist Representative Antonio L. Tinio graced the celebration.
Tinio vowed to investigate the complaints of the teachers over a finance company doing business with them during the forum at the St. Mary’s Academy of Capiz here.
He also explained to the teachers about House Bill 02142 he sponsored in the lower house, upgrading the minimum salary grade of public school teachers from salary grade11 to 15.
This year’s theme is “Teachers for Gender Equality.”
Ms. Melanie Arancillo represented the office of Cong. Antonio Del Rosario.
Mr. Bryan Mari Argos also attended the occasion in behalf of the city mayor, Angel Alan Celino.
Since 1994 World Teachers’ Day has been celebrated on October 5 every year. World Teachers’ Day is celebrated to honor the worldwide teachers’ organizations. The need of future generations has to be attained properly by the teachers and hence, World Teachers’ Day has been celebrated to aim that great feeling to continue the legacy.
World Teachers’ Day symbolizes a noteworthy token of the consciousness, understanding and appreciation.
